Restore Damaged Teeth with Crowns
If you’re searching for an effective way or solution for correcting dental problems caused by dental decay, routine wear and tear, or accidents, a dental crown can fix the problem.
Damaged and old fillings on your front teeth may cause esthetic problems like discoloration and leakage. A defective filling can also weaken the tooth and cause it to fracture.
Dental crowns allow us to create a restoration that can fix these problems:
- Strengthen and protect teeth damaged by disease, trauma, or decay
- Fix functional problems like an unstable dental bite
- Fix wide gaps between teeth
- Replace a missing tooth (dental implant restoration)
- Reinforce or Protect root canal treated tooth
At O'Connor Dental care, we use the best material like tooth colored porcelain crowns such as Emax, Inceram and Zirconia. Crowns can be gold, porcelain fused metal and all ceramics like emax, inceram and zirconia. PFM and gold are stronger and can be used in back teeth while ceramic crown has better esthetics and a good option for anterior teeth. Dental implant can be also an excellent choice depending on your personal preference.
Replace Missing Teeth with Fixed Bridges
Fixed dental bridges are restorations that consist of a false tooth (pontic) that fill the missing space left after the loss of a natural tooth. Bridges are designed as one unit or multiple units that includes the artificial tooth and held securely in place by crowns attached to both sides of the space.
To fabricate a customized bridge, we start by preparing the teeth where the bridge will be attached. then, we'll take a rubber impressions to create a mold of your teeth. The model is sent on to a dental lab where your restoration will be done. After a week, you'll return to our office, and we'll cement or glue the bridge in placed, creating an awesome smile and restore full function and stability of your bite.
