When should my child have their first dental visit?
At our Toronto dental office, we love helping kids get a great start with their oral health. For this reason, we recommend that children make their first trip to our office around the time they get their first tooth or by their first birthday. This early childhood dental visit will give parents an opportunity to ask any questions they may have about their child’s dentistry, home care, habits such as thumb sucking, or diets, and also set the positive tone for future dental appointments in our office.
We will help familiarize your little one with our team of professionals, take them for a ride in the chair, and Dr. Nolasco will make sure everything is on track for a healthy smile.
As your child grows, we will implement more preventive dentistry treatments to protect and maintain good oral health. Baby teeth are important and provide a blueprint for the development of their permanent teeth, so we will focus on making sure that your child’s primary teeth remain healthy and comfortable.
Your child’s first visit to our dental office will be a celebration and we will make it fun and stress-free. Children that receive excellent dental care in their youth grow up to have healthier smiles as adults!
